Situated in South Devon, between the estuaries of the rivers Exe and Teign, Dawlish became popular as a resort in the late 18th century and has remained popular ever since.
Today, a packed event and entertainment programme ensures that Dawlish remains a favourite holiday destination. In the centre of the town an attractive park has an abundance of flowerbeds, giant cacti, tall palms and other exotic plants, which provide a superb background for the stream that cascades over a series of waterfalls. Black swans and several species of waterfowl have made the brook their home.

Dawlish has three beaches to choose from, Boat Cove, Coryton Cove and one stretching all the way to Dawlish Warren.
The Warren is ideal for seaside fun. With a gentle slope into the sea the beach is perfect for families, and a team of lifeguards is on hand to keep an eye on safety.
The Warren has some of the most luxurious accommodation in the area and the local pubs serve a good selection of meals. Also, with a golf course, cycle hire and plenty of good walks, this area has something for all ages.
Dawlish is also an ideal choice of a place to stay if you are looking for a base to discover South Devon. Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Dartmoor , Exeter, Teignmouth, and Exmouth are all within easy driving distance from Dawlish.
If ypou should be travelling by train to the West Country you'll be a ble to enjoy one of the most spectacular views of Dawlish as the train line hugs the coast as it passes through Dawlish.
