Just a short crossing over the Kingsferry Bridge takes you to one of Kent's best kept secrets - the Isle of Sheppey. Steeped in maritime history, with award winning beaches, and beautiful wildlife, coupled with lively resorts and harbours, the Isle of Sheppey really is the place for those looking for a seaside holiday with a touch of history.

Sheerness beach, on the north western corner of the Island has the coveted European Blue Flag Award as well as a Resort Award. Just a few miles along the coast is Leysdown-on-Sea where Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn spent their honeymoon. The Isle of Sheppey is also internationally important for its wildlife and a number of sites have been chosen around the island to act as watch points where you will find panels giving information, interesting facts and help with identifying wildlife.
